PMのための英語による実践塾~PMBOK CAFÉ~は、以下の4つの体験学習をPMBOKのテーマに基づき“グループ学習”形式で学びます。

  1. 異文化コミュニケーション
  2. 英語
  3. プロジェクトマネジメント
  4. ファシリテーションプロセス

対象者

海外ビジネスに従事する人、している人、グローバルプロジェクトに関心のある人、グローバルプロジェクトを企業で抱える管理者、TOEIC 600点程度

講師

Robert Higgins

Robert Higgins PMP® is an entrepreneur. He has had worked on hundreds of Projects. In addition to his extensive Architectural Project background, he has Initiated, Planned, Executed and Closed a variety of projects. For example; Financial, Computer Software, Technology and Market Research. Robert Higgins has been working in and out of China for the last 9 years.

He has a balanced personality of Entrepreneurial Risk Taking and Consensus Building. He is experienced with working with teams of distributed people.
"I especially enjoy complex structures and communicating the essential information."

Currently, he is residing in Tokyo. Robert is deeply interested in Asian Culture and he is always working on improving his Japanese language skills.

In addition to his PMP® credential he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. As a practitioner of Project Management, he is enthusiastic about promoting good project skills and sharing his knowledge of Projects and People.

He is interested in promoting good project management skills. He has taught "Introduction to Project Management" to Blue-Chip Japanese Corporations and he has given Presentations on behalf of The Project Management Institute.

セミナー内容

第1回 Global Project Managemen
What are the best ways to Communicate and collaborate with distributed teams, solve problems and make decisions? 
PMBOK Cafe Global Project Management workshop will explore leadership, culture and building trust in Global Projects. Global Projects are more complex. Culture and Communication are barriers to effective communication.


第2回 Stakeholder Management 
How to collect the requirements, set realistic goals and communicate effectively?
How do we collect data from people who are separated by time and place?  How do we analyze the data to define done?  How can we share the knowledge of; done, project status issues, risks with people globally?  This workshop is focusing on the complicated problem of Managing People across regions and borders.


第3回 Japanese Best Practice 
Japan has a long history of Culture.  Projects have been completed in Japan for thousands of years.  Today, Japanese Companies are leading the world in terms of bringing new products to martket.  The Third PMBOK Cafe is going to explore the unique nature of performing Project Management in Japan.
Many of the concepts of Project Management have been imported from Japanese Business.  For Example Kaizen, Ishikawa Diagrams, Affinity Diagramming, Scrum, Lean and Kanban.
Participants will be able to share their knowledge, and experiences.  We will use the PMBOK as a base to compare what is different in Japan.  For Example; Project Charter, Project Plan, Earned Value Management, Risk Management etc.?  What kind of Cultural Differences in Japan impact Project Management?


第4回 Risk Policy
Global Project face unique risks, for example ;
political, economic, market, competitive and technological risks and project management methodology risk.  How can we identify and manage these global risks?

The goal of the Fourth PMBOK Cafe workshop is to explore the Global Project Risks. What are the top Risks? If these Risks happen what will be the effect? What can we do to manage these Risks?

We will also focus on what are the Risks to our Project Management Methodologies? What can we do to improve our Schedule and Cost Risks on our global projects?


第5回 The Marketing School of Project Management
How to promote and sell good Project Management in Organizations.  How to Communicate Value? What is The Future of Project Management? What tools and skills will we need to become better?

Marketing and Selling the Project to Senior Stakeholders.” The first phase of Planning “Collect Requirements” is a critical time when stakeholder influence is the highest. Project Managers must quickly access whom on a project needs access to information propose a solution that solves a problem and adds value to the organization. This café will explore how to “Market” good project management to senior stakeholders, Management, Sponsors, Project Management Offices, etc.. How to “Market” that good project management is aligned with the Organizations Objectives and it will solve problems and provide solutions to customers.
